Telephone Counselling and Online Counselling
People choose to have Telephone Counselling or Onine Counselling for a variety of reasons. It can be more suited to some people's circumstances, which may include disability, illness or caring responsibilities, living remotely, or moving between locations for business or personal reasons. Or you may feel it will be easier to talk about difficult experiences and feelings over the telephone or online.
While there are some obvious differences between face-to-face Counselling and Telephone / Online Counselling, research shows that it can be just as effective. There are also a number of advantages:
- You can have Telephone / Online Counselling in the comfort of your own home, or another suitable location of your choice, provided you are confident that you will not be disturbed.
- With Telephone / Online Counselling, your choice of Counsellor is not restricted by your geographical location.
- Telephone / Online Counselling offers greater flexibility, making it easier to fit it into a busy lifestyle and more likely you can continue with it should your circumstances change.

Just as with face-to-face Counselling, we will begin with an initial appointment. This will give us both the opportunity to assess whether Counselling, and in particular Telephone or Online Counselling, is right for you and to decide whether it is appropriate for us to work together in this way at this time.
For practical reasons, payments for Telephone or Online Counselling must be made in advance of each session.
